Farah Aliyeva met with ethnic community leaders in Azerbaijan
Today, Farah Aliyeva, head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy, Diaspora, Multiculturalism and Religious Affairs of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with the leaders of the ethnic communities living and working in our country at Baku International Multiculturalism Center. At the meeting, representatives of the Religious Community of Baku Mountain Jews, Samur Lezgi Cultural Center, Religious Community of European Jews, Azerbaijani-Avar Public Union, Albanian-Udi Christian Religious Community, Azeri Tat Cultural Center, Talish community, "Veten" Public Union of Akhiska Turks living in Azerbaijan, Georgian Jews Leaders of Religious Community, Kurdish Community, "Budug" Charitable Society, Azerbaijan-Ukrainian Congress Public Union, Azerbaijan-Bulgarian Friendship Development Public Union, as well as chief editors of "Dodo" newspaper published in Talysh language and "Samur" newspaper published in Azerbaijani, Russian and Lezgi languages were also present.
Ravan Hasanov, executive director of BIMC, who opened the event with an introduction, emphasized that the same conditions are created at the state level for the representatives of all nations in our country. He stated that Multiculturalism Center always builds its activities in connection with representatives of minority nations. Illumination of the life, culture and traditions of different peoples living and working in our country is carried out with special projects and publications. Then Farah Aliyeva, head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy, Diaspora, Multiculturalism and Religious Affairs of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, spoke about the advantages of the Azerbaijani Multiculturalism model and how all peoples live in peace and friendship in our country. She especially touched upon the issue of the victory of national solidarity during the 44-day Patriotic War. Speaking later, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BIMC, Kamal Abdullayev, stated that Multiculturalism Center has been actively operating in accordance with the multiculturalism policy of the state since its establishment. He noted that although the enemy forces are trying to destabilize our country, they cannot and will not be able to achieve this.
After the speeches, all ethnic community representatives who attended the meeting shared their views on the topic. They declared that they love Azerbaijan as their homeland, and that they are building their activities in the direction of the successful future and development of our country. Emphasizing that they demonstrated national unity during the 44-day Patriotic War and today, the participants spoke about the multicultural environment in Azerbaijan and their support for the successful policy implemented by the state in this direction. The participants of the event expressed their high appreciation for the activities of the Multiculturalism Center, as well as the institution's relations with ethnic communities. In the end, the heads of the ethnic communities living and operating in our country brought their suggestions regarding their activities to the attention of Farah Aliyeva, head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy, Diaspora, Multiculturalism and Religious Affairs of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
