The incident of Bloody January is a heroic page of Azerbaijan. This event was another way to destroy the Soviet empire.
Robert Mobili, chairman of the Albanian-Udi Christian Religious Community in Azerbaijan, said those words at the conference dedicated to January 20 - National Day of Mourning at Baku International Multiculturalism Center. 
He said that the incident of January 20 was a global situation. Martyrs of January 20 are also heroes of Azerbaijan. We will always remember them.
R. Mobili noted that he still remembers those bitter days and added: "During the January 20 tragedy, I was in Gabala, and my family was in Baku. When I came to Baku after a while, I saw the destroyed streets, the cars under the tank, the condition of the people. You just had to see it with your eyes. We have seen it. We have seen it. The heroes who died there were martyrs for freedom."
