Ravan Hasanov: Winter School participants will see with their own eyes the destructions caused by Armenians
International Multiculturalism Winter School starts today. Multiculturalism Winter and Summer schools are organized for the 11th time. More than 20 young people from 17 countries are participating in this winter school. They came from very different geographies - from the United States to Indonesia.
Executive director of Baku International Multiculturalism Center (BIMC) Ravan Hasanov expressed these thoughts in an interview with journalists.
The executive director stressed that the topic of this year's Winter School is dedicated to the war crimes, the damage to the cultural heritage and the Karabakh conflict. In addition to Baku, the participants will also be in Agdam and Shusha. The purpose of holding the Winter School is to show the youth of the world the vandalism committed against the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan, the damage caused to our mosques and religious places of worship.
“Of course, after the end of the 30-year occupation period, the destruction we witnessed in Karabakh shook us as well. We want the world community and the world's youth to get full information about this, and also to see Armenian vandalism with their own eyes. This is very important, as currently Armenians continue their false propaganda towards ‘their’ cultural heritage”, R. Hasanov added.
He emphasized that the young people participating in the Winter School are very active both in social networks and their own countries. Their visits to Aghdam and Shusha were organized in order to witness the destruction caused by Armenians and the vandalism against our cultural heritage.
"Young people from foreign countries will meet with social and political figures of our country within a week. During the lectures, they will be informed about Armenian terrorism, massacres committed by Armenians against our people, more than one million forced Azerbaijani refugees. The participants of the Winter School will get acquainted with the Karabakh conflict and the projects and reconstruction works implemented in the subsequent period," the executive director emphasized.
