An electronic exhibition dedicated to Nizami Ganjavi is opened in Ukraine

On December 29, the Ukrainian National Library named after Vernadsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine opened an electronic exhibition "Nizami Ganjavi in Ukrainian translations and studies." The exhibition, based on the results of bibliographic research conducted by the staff of the "Scientific and Bibliographic Information" department of the library, was held with the support of Baku International Multiculturalism Center.

The electronic exhibition dedicated to the translation and research of the work of the famous Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi systematizes information about the translations of Nizami's works into Ukrainian, research by Ukrainian scientists on this topic, as well as materials stored in the library collections associated with Nizami Ganjavi. The research covers the period from 1917 to 2021. The materials of the exhibition were prepared by Tatyana Dobko, head of the department of Scientific and Bibliographic Information, and Tatyana Arseenko, head of the department of International Information and International Relations of the Ukrainian National Library named after Vernadsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Marina Goncharuk, a representative of Baku International Multiculturalism Center in Ukraine, shared her opinion about the exhibition. She said: “This is a very important and fundamental project aimed at developing Ukrainian-Azerbaijani cooperation in the field of culture and literature, as well as popularizing Nizami's work in Ukraine. This project provides an opportunity for a wider study of the literary heritage of Nizami by Ukrainian scientists. The library team has done a great job. I recalled that the Ukrainian National Library named after Vernadsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is among the 10 largest national libraries in the world. The library fund is more than 15,800,000 books. I think that this exhibition will be very interesting for those who want to learn more about Azerbaijani literature.”
