German press discusses Azerbaijani multiculturalism

Influential German newspaper Der Freitag and News24 portal have published articles on the theme of Azerbaijani multiculturalism. Baku International Multiculturalism Center (BIMC) Executive Director Ravan Hasanov’s views are widely covered in the articles. Focusing on the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism, which is recognized as a good example globally, the articles deal with the ethnic and religious diversity in our country and the state’s interest in maintaining this diversity. The article stresses that raising multiculturalism up to the level of state policy will be critical for the very fate of the country. It further underlines that intercultural and interfaith dialogue is key to regional and global peace and Azerbaijan attaches great importance to such platforms. The article also emphasizes the prospects of the multiculturalism policy and the significance of dialogue. These views of BIMC Executive Director Ravan Hasanov have been quoted from Hasanov’s interview with the English newspaper The Prisma.
