BAKU INTERNATIONAL MULTICULTURAL CENTER HAS STARTED A SERIES OF EVENTS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE "YEAR OF HAYDER ALIYEV"

Baku International Multiculturalism Center has started a series of events within the framework of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on declaring 2023 the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" in Azerbaijan Republic. The Center plans to organize events, conferences, seminars, and round tables dedicated to the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev at higher education institutions where the project of teaching the subject "Azerbaijani multiculturalism" in foreign universities is being implemented - Ural Federal University (Russia), Ivan Javakhashvili Tbilisi State University (Georgia), Wroclaw University (Poland), Hokkaido University (Japan), Erciyes University (Turkey), St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University (Bulgaria), University of Malaysia (Malaysia), Gadjah Mada University (Indonesia), Alexander Ioan Cuzi University (Romania), Federal University of Paraiba (Brazil) until the end of the year.
The plenary session of the 15th International Scientific Conference on "Global and Regional Problems of the Modern Era: Sources and Perspectives. East and West" held at the Ural Federal University was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev as a part of a series of events. In addition to the teaching staff and students of the Ural Federal University, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Yekaterinburg city executive authority, also attended the event.
Those who spoke in the plenary session analyzed Russian-Azerbaijani relations, emphasizing the role of Heydar Aliyev in the development of these relations. Kristina Tretyakova, a participant in the XIII International Winter School of Multiculturalism, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader, spoke about the winter school held in Baku during her speech on the topic “Unity in Cultural Diversity: In the Example of Azerbaijan”. Later, Professor of the Ural Federal University A.G. Nesterov spoke about the causes of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the role of Heydar Aliyev in resolving this conflict. The professor also gave information about the 44-day war in his speech. He especially emphasized the unity of the Azerbaijani people and ethnic minorities living in Azerbaijan around President Ilham Aliyev like an Iron fist in this war, and their role in winning of victory. Irina Kunina, Head of the Educational Department of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center, made a presentation on the topic " Characteristics of Azerbaijan's multilateral diplomacy, founded by Heydar Aliyev" at the event.
Note that, the subject "Azerbaijani Multiculturalism" has been taught at the Ural Federal University since 2015 within the framework of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center's project to teach the subject "Azerbaijani Multiculturalism" at foreign universities.
