On 26 January Professor Etibar Najafov, the Head of the Department of Interethnic Relations, Multiculturalism and Religious Issues of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to our country Erkan Özoral.

At the meeting thorough information was provided on the guidelines of the policy of multiculturalism pursued in our country under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr.Ilham Aliyev, and great achievements of our country in this field were also mentioned. Speaking thoroughly of the projects implemented between the two countries by Baku International Centre of Multiculturalism, Etibar Najafov stated that beginning from the spring semester of 2015 up to now the course “Azerbaijani Multiculturalism” has successfully been taught at Erciyes University in the city of Kayseri (Turkey). The participation of the students from a number of universities of Turkey in the International Summer and Winter Schools of Multicullturalism organized by the ideational support and at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the events carried out in the frames of the cooperation with Turkish Language Institution, Yunus Emre Institute, Turkic World Research Institute of Egey University as well as other projects were also profoundly spoken about.

The meeting was also attended by the representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey Merve Ruya Avci and Senior Advisor of the Department of Interethnic Relations, Multiculturalism and Religious Issues of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Mammadov.
