The Multiculturalism Center has conducted trainings
The next trainings held by Baku International Multiculturalism Center as a part of the teaching project of "Azerbaijani multiculturalism" and "Introduction to multiculturalism" have been completed. The trainings organized for teachers teaching this subject were held on October 29 - December 3, 2022. More than 20 teachers from Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Azerbaijan University of Languages, Baku Eurasian University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Academy of State Customs Committee, Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University and Azerbaijan State Pedagogical College participated in the trainings. Within the framework of the trainings, the BIMC employees. as well as scientists and specialists held trainings on "Liberalism and communitarian approaches to multiculturalism", "Essence of religion and its forms of manifestation". Lectures were conducted on the following topics: “Religion in modern times”, "Ancient Turkish beliefs", "Ethnic diversity and national idea", "Multiculturalism as an effective policy model for the regulation of ethnic-cultural diversity", "Multiculturalism in Azerbaijan in modern times", "The influence of multiculturalism on the political, economic, social and cultural development of society" etc. During the trainings, extensive discussions were held and the questions of the participants were answered in detail. At the end, certificates were presented to the teachers who successfully completed the trainings.
It should be noted that with the recommendation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the corresponding order of the Minister of Education, "Introduction to Multiculturalism" has been taught as a main subject at the bachelor's level of all higher education institutions of our country since September 2019. Baku International Multiculturalism Center organizes trainings twice a year in order to increase the knowledge level of teachers who will teach the subject.
