The glorious victory over the enemy in the Patriotic War is the celebration of the unity of the Azerbaijani people
During the counter-offensive operations carried out by our Armed Forces in the 44-day Patriotic War, which ended with a glorious victory, the representatives of all peoples living in our country united as one fist and showed great examples of heroism, courage and bravery. The glorious victory over the enemy in the Patriotic War is a celebration of the unity of the Azerbaijani people.
These views were voiced on November 5 at the conference "We are strong together" jointly organized by Baku International Multiculturalism Center (BIMC) and Gabala District Executive Power on the occasion of November 8 - Victory Day.
The participants of the event first paid tribute to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev by laying flowers in front of the monument.
At the event held at the Heydar Aliyev Center of Gabala district, the memory of those who died for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute of silence.
The conference was opened by Ataya Osmanova, the deputy head of the Gabala District Executive Power, the head of the Socio-Political and Humanitarian Affairs department, she spoke about the heroism of the brave sons of our country in the Patriotic War that ended with the historical victory won by the brave Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. It was reported that the heroic sons of Gabala region also fought bravely and became martyrs in the war started for the sake of our territorial integrity.
Araz Gurbanov, an employee of Baku International Multiculturalism Center, noted that during the Patriotic War the representatives of all the peoples living in Azerbaijan united as one fist, liberated our lands under the enemy's foothold, and won a great victory.
It was stated that Azerbaijan has been recognized as a place where different civilizations meet, where a national and cultural diversity environment has been formed for centuries, where representatives of different nationalities and confessions live in conditions of peace, tranquility, mutual understanding and dialogue. Multiculturalism and tolerance have historically been the way of life of Azerbaijanis and today it has become the daily way of life of every citizen of the state of Azerbaijan, regardless of their national identity, language, and religion.
Speaking at the event, the fathers of the martyrs Jalil Safarchinov, Abulfaz Abdurahmanov, veteran of the Patriotic War Habib Bayramov, member of the Udi Community Rafik Danakari spoke about the love for homeland and the bravery of the representatives of different nations living in our country who fought in the Karabakh War, expressed their gratitude to the head of state for the attention and care shown to the families of martyrs, veterans, war participants.
