Rector of the Moscow Islamic Institute Demir Mukhetdinov visited Multiculturalism Center

Ravan Hasanov, the executive director of Baku International Multiculturalism Center, met with the first deputy chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, the rector of the Moscow Islamic Institute, professor Demir Mukhetdinov. R. Hasanov greeted the guests and expressed his gratitude for the meeting, then gave detailed information about the multicultural and tolerant environment in Azerbaijan, the policy of multiculturalism implemented by the head of state Ilham Aliev, as well as the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism. Later, R. Hasanov introduced the guests to the activities of BIMC. During the conversation 9 representative offices of the Center operating in foreign countries, "Azerbaijani multiculturalism" subject taught in more than 20 foreign universities, publications prepared in different languages and many other projects were discussed. R. Hasanov spoke about the cultural and spiritual terror committed by Armenians in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.  
       Expressing his gratitude for the meeting, the first deputy chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, the rector of the Moscow Islamic Institute, Professor Demir Mukhetdinov conveyed the greetings of Russian muslims to the participants of the meeting and once again congratulated them on the historic victory in the Karabakh War II. Then, D. Mukhetdinov spoke about the role of multiculturalism in the modern world and the importance of the promotion of this political model, emphasizing the policy implemented by Azerbaijan in this direction. The guest noted that he appreciated the activity of BIMC in this field. He also stated that the Moscow Islamic Institute, which he heads, and Russian muslims as a whole support Azerbaijan's rightful struggle in the Patriotic War and despite the pressure of the Armenian lobby they support Azerbaijan.   
       Later, issues of future cooperation were discussed between the parties, and prospects of joint cooperation in many projects in the coming years were considered. First, it was agreed to sign a memorandum on the teaching of the subject "Azerbaijani multiculturalism" at the Moscow Islamic Institute. At the end of the meeting, R. Hasanov presented books to D. Mukhetdinova published by Multiculturalism Center. Safa Karimov, deputy editor-in-chief of "Medina" publishing house in the Russian Federation, Aytan Gahraman, advisor of BIMC, Rashad Ilyasov, head of the department of Analytics, Irina Kunina, head of the department of Education, and leading adviser Billura Aslanova also participated in the event.
