Multiculturalism is part of our policy.  Today Azerbaijan is considered one of the centres of multiculturalism in the world. It has its own history too. These ideas about Azerbaijan have been formulated by President Ilham Aliyev in his speech at the opening ceremony of the VII Global Baku Forum.

The Head of our state noted that after Azerbaijan gained its independence, this tendency continued and we tried to promote these ideas globally. That is why, we organized a number of important international events, conferences. The main topic of discussion at these events was the enhancement of multiculturalism. Since, today we see that there are various views on this topic. Today Azerbaijan demonstrates that only through the promotion of multiculturalism the world can advance, the tensions may decrease and mutual understanding may be enhanced. We are an example of it.
