President Ilham Aliyev has signed Order on measures for ensuring activity of the Baku International Multiculturalism Centre.

The Order has been signed to widely propagandize multicultural traditions in Azerbaijan.

Under the Order, to ensure activity of the Baku International Multiculturalism Centre in 2019 and implement the measures outlined, AZN 800 thousand was allocated to the Baku İnternational Multiculturalism Centre from the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan provided for in the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019.

According to the Order, Azerbaijan being a space where various civilizations merge is known as a land where the environment of national and cultural diversity has been forming for centuries, representatives of various nationalities and faiths have lived in peace, tranquillity, mutual understanding and dialogue. Over the past period, important measures have been taken to preserve and further develop the multicultural traditions in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
