Azerbaijani Multiculturalism course at University of Brazil continues

“Interest in the Azerbaijani Multiculturalism course in Brazil grows every day,” says Ms. Irina Kunina, a representative of Baku International Multiculturalism Center (BIMC) and a teacher at the International Relations Department of Azerbaijan University of Languages, who teaches the course in Brazil. The meeting with Professor Eiiti Sato of the International Relations Institute of the University is a further testament to this fact. According to Professor Sato, this course allows the students of the department not only to get acquainted with the culture, history and politics of Azerbaijan, but also learn about the way of life of Azerbaijanis. BIMC employee Irina Kunina says each lecture delivered by her at the University of Brazil draws interest from students. A lot of questions are asked during presentations about Azerbaijan and especially about the Azerbaijani multiculturalism. The number of ethnic minorities, their coexistence in an environment of mutual understanding without a conflict, and the integration and management policy of the head of the state in such a multiculturalist society arouse big interest among the students of the University of Brazil. They also show keen interest in the International Summer and Winter Multiculturalism Schools organized by BIMC twice a year for students participating in the Azerbaijani Multiculturalism course.
