BAKU International Centre of Multiculturalism has launched a new project jointly with the Azerbaijani Television. Since October the Azerbaijani Television has started broadcasting a new program titled “Multiculturalism”. The program whose first release was broadcast yesterday hosted the Head of the Department of Interethnic Relations, Multiculturalism and Religious Issues of the Presidential Administration Etibar Najafov and the Acting Executive Director of Baku International Centre of Multiculturalism Ravan Hasanov. The program held an exchange of views on the history and essence of multiculturalism, the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism. There was also a talk on the importance of the work carried out up to present and to be carried out in future to advocate and promote Azerbaijan’s multicultural values and traditions of tolerance. It should be noted that the consultant of the new TV project is the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Baku International Centre of Multiculturalism, Academician Kamal Abdullayev and its author and hostess is the collaborator of Baku International Centre of Multiculturalism, outstanding TV journalist Billura Aslangyzy.
